Used by itself, the nurostym is the first system of its kind to be CE-certified for use with transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS) modalities, which can each be applied to help treat specific neurological conditions.
tES techniques may also be used in conjunction with conventional therapy methods to enhance treatment outcomes. For instance, tES is recommended for use alongside motor, cognitive, and speech training in stroke patients, or applied alongside psychotherapy or pharmacotherapy in patients suffering from depression.
